Naomi Peterson spent her childhood in Quincy, Illinois, where she spent much of her time outdoors. She received an Associate’s degree in Art from John Wood Community College. Naomi chose to attend the University of Wyoming in Laramie where the community has a close relationship with its natural environment. There, she majored in Art with an emphasis in painting until she discovered ceramics; leading her to earn a BFA degree with a focus in ceramics. Naomi is the current ceramics post-baccalaureate at the University of Wyoming. Naomi uses ceramics to contemplate psychological and anthropological aspects of the human experience.
